Figura Avulsa is thrilled to present Sweethoneywormhole, a solo project by Amy Granat, opening on Sunday July 27th, 6—8PM. The exhibition will be on view by appointment until August 27th, 2025.
This is Granat’s second chapter in a series of four related projects sequentially developed for four artist-run venues.
Following A Strange Wind that took place at u’s, Diamond Valley Alberta Canada, Sweethoneywormhole is the next instalment in this cycle. It explores the poetics of space and time, specifically the Einstein-Rosen Bridge that was discovered in 1916.
Amy Granat (b.1976, St. Louis) is an American artist.
Her work has been exhibited widely in New York, including MoMA/PS1, The Sculpture Center, The New Museum, The 2008 Whitney Biennial, Barbara Gladstone Gallery, The Drawing Center, The Kitchen, White Columns, as well as internationally at Centre Pompidou Paris, Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt, Ullens UCCA Beijing, and Zacheta National Galerie of Art Warsaw.
Granat has had solo exhibitions at Nicole Klagsbrun, New York, Eva Presenhuber Gallery, Zurich and Vidal Cuglietta Gallery Brussels.
Her work has been written about in The New York Times, Flash Art, and Artforum among other publications.
Upcoming projects include Stooj Berlin (Sept 2025) and Wolfpack HQ, Los Angeles (Feb 2026).
Her work is included in the collections of The Whitney Museum of Art and The Museum of Modern Art, New York.
